Steven K. Nordeen, Ph.D., M.S. Science Advisor

Steven K. Nordeen, Ph.D., M.S., serves as science advisor to BioCare Systems, Inc. Dr. Nordeen has more than 28 years of research experience in biochemistry, biophysics and medicine, specializing in the development of technologies to study molecular mechanisms in health and disease. He is currently a tenured professor of pathology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Nordeen received his B.S. in physics from Nebraska Wesleyan University and both his M.S. and Ph.D. in biophysics from the University of Rochester School of Medicine Department of Radiation, Biology and Biophysics. He also received a post-doctoral fellowship from the University of California, San Francisco, Departments of Medicine and Biochemistry and Biophysics.

Dr. Nordeen has received numerous scholarship, fellowship and research awards, as well as grants from a variety of institutions, including the National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Army, the Council for Tobacco Research, the American Cancer Society Colorado Chapter and the University of Colorado. A frequent lecturer, conference session and symposia chair, abstract and grant reviewer, Dr. Nordeen sits on the editorial board of DNA and Cell Biology and has written nearly 60 abstracts and more than 80 manuscripts. He is a member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
